FORTY-SEVEN

Nutcracker rehearsal.

2018 week forty-seven

What a busy fun week! On Monday we went to a nature preserve for a family book club meeting for Danny, the Champion of the World. We ate roast chicken (pheasant wasn't to be had) and apples and played games.

And there was an old engine to take apart.

Wednesday we celebrated a (late) birthday for my Father-in-Law at Hopdoddy Burgers. Very tasty.

Happy Thanksgiving! I always make my sweet potatoes with a meringue topping instead of traditional marshmallows. This is a photo of me testing the integrity of said meringue.

We spatchcocked the turkey this year. It was fantastic. It cooked so quickly and because it was just slathered with herb butter, it was so juicy. Yum.

"Quick" family photos are never really too quick are they?

Friday afternoon getting some wiggles out in Grapevine before dress rehearsal.

I got to meet up with an old friend Jourdan, visiting from LA. It was the most pleasant 45 minutes of my week. Come back soon!

Behind the scenes!

The Sunday group of Cherubs.

Saturday we went to a Chuck-E-Cheese birthday party for a friend. It was their first time. Matt and I just sounded like old people reliving our childhood memories with lots of asides like, "my how it has changed in here."

Sunday morning. Luna got her window throne to judge the birds and the world in comfort.

Sunday before the show: working on her selfie game after she got her makeup done.

She figured out some better angles by the end. Ha.

After the show with Grandma and Grandpa

And Uncle Mike and Aunt Melissa (Mike).  We didnt get a photo with the cousins who also came. It was so fun to see Veronica perform in a professional ballet. She has been working so hard and says she's going to keep dancing until she can be Clara. :)

 Quotes

Veronica
