THIRTY-SIX

Drizzly Labor Day morning at the park. We brought the little car.
 2018 week thirty-six

The joy didn't last long enough...

Big boy.

Happy boy on the bike. He always insists on packing his backpack full of toys and books when we get ready for school. Possum came along for a ride this day.

Matt and his brother Jacob escaped on Friday up to Oklahoma to live out a cowboy dream.

Matt's ride Dandy, wasn't as eager to go for a run as she was for her oats back home.

Friday was Grandparent's Day at school. Veronica was so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa stop by for a visit.

Lazy rainy Saturday afternoon. V wearing her spoils from Papa's Oklahoma trip.

"Mama, look! Let me show you how you aren't supposed to run with a pen!"

Quotes

Veronica

When we were reading Peter Pan we came to the part where Peter says all you have to do to fly is think of a wonderful happy thought and it will just lift you off the ground. When I asked the kids what they would think of V said, "That I live in TEXAS!"

V made her own "iPad" out of perler beads. She got a pad of sticky notes and proceeded to write dozens of notes about how much everyone loves her iPad. She stuck them all over the house.

Theodore

"Watch this cold green bean poem!"

"Little Miss Moffet, sat on her Tuffet, eating her curds away. Along came a spider, who sat down besider. Was it a NICE SPIDER? Why was she afraid?"

T - "I'm afraid."
Me- "You're afraid of the rain? The rain is my friend."
T- "NO! friends have legs and eyeballs. Rain is water and it cannot be your friend."

"Crossing Guy" = Crossing Guard

Theo has embellished his "at work with Daddy" stories to include some of Matt's coworkers. His favorite is Jeana. She makes a regular appearance. She apparently really laughs when Theodore dumps cereal on Daddy's head at work.
