THIRTY

When I make pumpkin puree I squeeze out a lot of the extra juice before freezing. Vera, my little witch daughter, couldn't get enough of the fresh pumpkin juice. I was so proud; maybe this is a sign we should start rereading Harry Potter. Also, why is she always wearing this shirt?! 

 2015 week thirty

Peaches were 3 lbs for $1 (!!!!) this week so I got my preserving on with tons of peach and pumpkin (from my garden!) jams, butters, purees, popsicles, etc. Am I starting to actually like summer? Seems like blasphemy. Also, grilled pumpkin with rosemary and sage is such an unexpected delight. The world has no dearth of pumpkin recipes, but add this one to your repetoire!

Hey look! Vera is so cute, and I'm feeling very pregnant these days.
