My Snow Baby is 7 1/2 Months

These pink cheeks turned 7 months old the day before Thanksgiving.

Magically, Veronica has learned to smile for the camera. And those smiles make for some darling photos.

At 7 months she is still not crawling, but under extreme motivation (read: when you want her to stay where she is while you are on the computer or playing a chess with your husband on the floor) she will army crawl and kick her legs until she moves forward and then grabs what you don't want her to grab.

She has graduated to fewer nursings/bottles and more solid foods. She was unsure about how tangy yogurt is, but she is completely sure about Brie. She would stand on her head for Brie.

Vera loves to dance. She'll shake her head to the beat when I sing or we play music, and loves it when you pick her up and dance her around. She wants to eat anything that resembles a tassel -like the strings of your sweatshirt.

While I wanted to nick name her Vera, and sometimes we do call her that, she is more often just "Baby" or, oddly enough, "Chichi".  She is really interested in the cat but not interested in growing any teeth.

Strangers tell us frequently that she is calm, peaceful, alert, and sweet.  She likes to test things, like bonking her head into the wall, stopping, thinking, and doing it again. Yesterday she clapped after watching me do it. She LOVES looking at the baby in the mirror -best friends. And she poops on the toilet 75- 80% of the time. Seriously.

We love her very much and I want another. Husband thinks I just want to buy more baby clothes, maybe he's right. There are some darling things out there.
