Texas may have the nicest spring I've ever encountered (even though it is technically not even spring yet). We've already planted our garden and the afternoons are pleasant with cool mornings. I think I'm in love.
Now that we've lived here for almost a year, I realize that my clothes are not suited to Texas. And maybe it has something to do with being pregnant and not being able to shop for clothes that don't have belly bands, but I have become obsessed with planning my dream wardrobe. I spent the last 5 years in Utah where the weather went like this: January -April: COLD May-September: Pleasant; October -December: Cold. I have clothes suited to being cold most of the year and feeling pleasantly warm for the rest of it. The sad part is that Texas weather goes like this: December -February: Cool with days of cold; March-April: Pleasant with days of hot; May-November: HOT HOT with days of pleasant/cool. The majority of my year has gone from cold to hot hot hot. And I have found that my clothes do not breathe. And I need to learn how to buy better pieces.
These are the things I am dreaming of seeing as I open my closet door:

EEK! I love all this. I'm with you girl.
