On Husband's birthday, we both woke up at 630a so excited that it was his birthday that we couldn't fall back asleep. I made breakfast burritos and he opened his presents in bed. I bought him a striped skinny tie, and a tie with embroidered schnauzers on it. He loves schnauzers. I don't know why.
I was foolish enough to not bring my camera with me that day -the distress of not having an iPhone. But Husband and all of his brothers and dad raced their R/C cars for a couple hours on a professional R/C track. Weirdos.
His dad took us to lunch afterward. We had cajun food. Everything was delicious, even the fried alligator and raw oysters. I had stuffed crab, Husband had a catfish po' boy the size of his head, and we all ate our fill of fish. But seriously, that alligator was delicious.
We hung out for the rest of the afternoon enjoying the very warm spring day. I gardened and he watched Top Gear.
Then in the evening, we resurrected the Blokus tournament. One of Husband's only regrets for the day was that I told people at the Blokus tournament that it was his birthday. :/ He thought it made people feel bad for not knowing. Sorry BirthdayHusband.
So these are the only photos I took of the day when my wonderful husband turned 27.
Husband, you are the best person to ever have a birthday. We've been married for almost 2.5 years. You have helped me to become a much better person than when we met. And I helped you to dress and eat better. I am so happy every day that I am with you. I think it would be hard to ever not want to be around you when you bring so much happiness into my life. I know that having a baby is scary and appears as impending doom, but you are so good with kids already. You will be an exceptional father. I love you. Thank you for being my Husband. Happy Birthday.
