TWENTY-ONE

On Monday I got to chaperone my first field trip as just a parent. I loved getting to spend the day at the zoo with Theo!

2025 week twenty-one

Theo and V have been having a lot of fun with his finger possums named Patrasha and Steven.

The kids got me this giant Chicharone for Mother's Day, we finally got brave enough to try it. With a squeeze of lime and a bit of tajin, it was pretty good. 

On Saturday we went to the crawdad boil! 

Theo caught the crawdad at the bottom of the pool for $1. Matt always throws in a couple of the fiestiest ones.

On Saturday, we also went to the wedding of one of the boys who used to be in Matt's scout troops when he was a scout leader a decade ago. 

On Sunday, Matt did a test run of ribs in the new smoker. We brought them over to a friend's house to enjoy with them for dinner. The kids all swam while the adults chatted for a good long time, fairly uninterrupted. I'm liking this having older kids thing.
